Forum Title: Winter water level in FG Pool
Just closed our pool today but couldn?t find the proper water level for FG pool (Toronto, Canada). Currently I have it 4 inches below the skimmer which has the water midway on the pool returns and lights. I would say there is still 14k gallons left. I?ve got all the lines blown out and sealed. Equipment pad all cleared out as well. Should I raise the water or lower it another 2? so it is below the return and lights. * I have an 8? tube outside the pool which goes deeper than the pool. I pumped it out before closing (about 2?) and can access this during winter if needed.

Your water level should be good for the winter. Pools with tile lines need to keep water level below the tiles. Just check the water level if you have a warm winter with rain rather than snow.

Any advantage or disadvantage to dropping it another 3? and having the returns and lights fully above water line?
